Hi, I have taken it! It was alright, as long as you study correctly for it. I used many flashcards to memorize specific temperatures, times, etc. The only free resource I recommend is Quizlet. I don’t know about other resources since I took it as my final in my food service class, and we had slides and lectures that covered all the material. You could buy the book with the access code for the exam, so you’re getting a 2-for-1 thing.
I took it a few years ago and did well. The content was taught through my university (distance), and I had to find a proctor for the exam. I found two different practice tests on the Iowa State Extension Office website. One was a 40-question that I think may be posted elsewhere, but the other was an 80-question “diagnostic” with an answer key that directed you to the section of the text the question came from so you know where you need to study more. I still have it if you are unable to find it online. Quizlet helps a ton, too.
