Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido in a latest post on social media gives the utmost thanks to God following his latest achievement within one year.
Taking to his verified page on popular microblogging platform X formerly called Twitter, Davido appreciates God after he finally achieves four things netizens said he would never have in his music career.
According to Davido, may said he would never near Grammy Award nomination and by extension ended up bagging multiple awards at the 2024 Grammy Awards that would come up on February 4th 2024.
The singer said that many music lovers said he would never gain entry into the Billboard Hot 100 and he later achieved that with Chris Brown’s nostalgic bop “Sensational” featuring him and Lojay. He joined Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tems, Fireboy, Rema, Ckay on the list of Nigeria singers with such a feat.
Davido utters that many trolls said his songs or album will never bag UK certification and his “Unavailable” ended up getting it.
The singer moving on said many of his non-fan bases averred that he won’t surpass 100 million on Spotify and he surpassed it.
The X user identified as @kellybonito_ wrote; “He’d never be Grammy-nominated.” He proved them wrong.
“No Billboard Hot 100 entry.” He achieved it.
“No UK certification.” He secured it.
“100 million on Spotify.” He exceeded it. They never learn. Davido isn’t one to be dared. He’ll relegate your fave and lock up the city.”
